With a cumulative 15 years in magazine and literary journal publication, I have developed a finely-tuned instinct for the needs of both short and long-form writing. Participating in various workshop formats—within an MFA setting and beyond—has also help refine how I spend time with a work of fiction or nonfiction, and what I can offer to fellow writers. My close attention to detail and eye for detecting incongruities in character, theme, and the piece’s overall “essence” make for an all-encompassing approach.
